I’d like to learn more about the law. So I’m reading these books and I’ve got a Merriam-Webster Legal Dictionary on the way. What else should I read?

- Oliver Wendell Holmes, The Path of the Law and The Common Law
- Probably Akhil Reed Amar, The Words That Made Us: America's Constitutional Conversation, 1760-1840. I have not not read this, and having spent half my life in the law and too many hours listening to Amar's podcast, I probably don't need to. But Amar is brilliant and, if memory serves, cited more often than any other law prof by SCOTUS.
